In this tour you start with The Egyptian Museum, famous for its antiquities from Egypt's Pharaonic period, which includes the fabulous treasures of King Tut-Ankh-Amon. Visit the Royal Mummy Room houses the remains of 11 of Egypt's most illustrious pharaohs and queens from the 17th to 21st dynasties. Return back to your hotel for overnight. Then you will continue your tour visiting Old Cairo,visiting the old Coptic Churches, St.George church, the church is believed to be built in the 7th century AD. Its ownership was referred to the Greek Orthodox since the 15th century. In the early 20th century the church suffered a fire and it was rebuilt again. It is topping one of the old Roman towers of Babylon Fortress and thus it takes a unique circular shape. For this reason, the church is still drawing pilgrimages from Christian believers. Visit the St.Barbara church, originally the church was built for saints Cyrus and John in the 7th century. It was restored in the 11th century after an 8th century fire. Followed by a visit to Ben Ezra Synagogue,originally a church, the building was reverted to Jews and was rebuilt by a Jerusalem rabbi Abraham Ben Ezra in the 12th century. Contiue your visit to the Monastery of St.Samaan the Tanner at the heart Moqattam is a very beautiful church. It was built to serve the local inhabitants there who are predominantly Christian. They are all of poor trash collectors who were moved there in late 1960s.
